Stunning day yesterday with Sharon’s first trip over the Takaka Hill to Golden Bay. Visited Takaka, Collingwood and Pohara and can’t believe how lucky we are to live in such a wonderful country. The vistas of sea, snow capped mountains, villages and pastures was gobsmackingly beautiful. Next time an overnight stay or two required as so much to see and do.

Today a visit to Mahana Estates, a wonderful organic winery only 5 minutes drive from Accent House again with stunning vistas. Currently open for brunch and lunch and told opening for dinners over summer so another dining option for guests. Also wine tasting of course!!

Glorious sunny day in Mapua – just right for the mid winter paddle rally starting at 12.30pm. Should be fun!
