Another group of super fun cyclists and happy guests!

Days are getting busier and busier and we are enjoying hosting so many fabulous guests from near and far….this week sees us host our first bride along with her attendants…..they will stay the night before the wedding and have hair, makeup and dress all at Accent House. We have been working hard to have the gardens looking their best as plans are also to take photos here prior to the ceremony….fingers crossed for fine weather. Bride and Groom to then return here for the night. We hope to be able to share a few photos of the group on their special day.
The days after the wedding party will see us host another group of cyclists (always fun people) and then lots more guests from Europe…..

 

What a devastating week it has been with the earthquake affecting North Canterbury, Wellington but particularly Kaikoura. Our hearts go out to all concerned. We were extremely lucky in Mapua & at Accent House – certainly rattled but all guests safe and no damage to the property and all roads into and out of the area are fully accessible. So it is business as usual for us and I believe all activities in the area.

Well, hard to believe it is 6 months tomorrow since we took over ownership of Accent House – and what a 6 months it has been!! Bedrooms all have new bedding and decor, each quite individual and with its own look. Grounds are taking shape with arched bridge now to small island and lots of new planting/changes happening.
We have enjoyed hosting guests from near and far – France, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, French West Indies, Israel, Scotland, UK and NZ – all super guests and each parting with the comment ” so wish we could stay longer with you” – great hosts, great property, great location & love waking to the sound of birds…..plus great breakfasts…..so now looking forward to the madness of summer and lots more lovely guests staying with us in our piece of paradise.
